Kim Delaney is an American actress best known for playing the role of Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she garnered the Emmy Award. She was born as the only child of a high-ranking executive in the United Auto Workers and a housewife, Delaney was raised with four brothers.
